Biography

Judith was born in 1781, in Amherst, Virginia. She was the daughter of James Higginbotham and Rachel Campbell.

On 23 Jan 1797, in Amherst, she married Joseph Dillard. They settled in Amherst and had 12 children[1].

Joseph died in 1834. She then went to live with son Oregon and his family. She passed away in 1855. The 1850 census shows they were in Nelson still. It is unproven if she passed in Nelson or Amherst, Virginia. It is unknown where she was buried.

Joseph Dillard (bachelor) married Judith Higginbotham (spinster) on 23 Jan 1797 in Amherst, Virginia. Her father, James Higginbotham gave consent. Reuben Crawford was surety. [2][3]

Higginbotham-1694 and Higginbotham-183 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse and other facts indicate a clear duplicate. Some facts, especially siblings, need to be reconciled.
