Benjamin was born in 1764. He was the son of Phillip Higgins and Mary Wiley. He passed away in 1857.
I have been asked about his place of birth. Every record is different. All of his siblings, including younger sister Thankful, were born in the Eastham area of Massachusetts. So I suspect the sources that say he was born in Maine are incorrect.
