Elizabeth (Higgins) Milton was a Virginia colonist.

Elizabeth was born before 1695 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. She may be the daughter of John Higgins, although this has not been documented.

Elizabeth married Richard Milton about 1711 in Northumberland (or Westmoreland) County, Virginia. Known children include:

  1. Richard Melton, b. 11 Mar 1711/12, St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland County, Virginia [1]

Death of Richard Melton/Milton

Elizabeth was appointed Administrator of the estate of her husband Richard Milton/Melton about September 1734. Information regarding her remarriage and provision of the required inventories of the estate are found on Early Colonial Settlers of Southern Maryland and Virginia's Northern Neck Counties -- Richard Melton

After submitting an inventory of the estate in 1734:

Elizabeth cannot be the daughter of Eliakim Higgins and Alice Newbold. This couple were apparently married and lived their lives in Massachusetts and New Jersey. Elizabeth was born in Northumberland County, Virginia. She is being removed as their daughter.
