1825 TN Franklin - "No 661 $1.50 150 acres

Sarah R. King enters one hundred and fifty acres of land in Franklin County situated about one half mile north east from the mouth of Beans creek south side of Elk river and north side Beginning 40 poles north of the north east corner of an entry in the name of Miller King [her husband] and Amazon King [her son] running south restricted by lines to the south east corner thence north and west for complement this the 9th of January 1826."

From a letter of [Gen.] Hiram H. [Harrison] Higgins 1872: "Sarah [daughter of Capt. James Higgins] married a yankee by the name of King, in Montgomery County, and shortly thereafter emigrated, and settled near the mouth of Bean's Creek, Franklin County, Tennessee, raised a large family of respectable and handsome sons and daughters."
