Biography

John was born in 1871 in Mudford, Somerset. He is the son of James Higgins and Eliza Penny.

He was recorded in his parent's household in Mudford in the 1881 Census.^[1]

John married Annie Florence Watts in 1898 in Yeovil district.^[2]

They were living in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire in 1901, where John was working as a baker.^[3]

John was still in Abergavenny in 1911, now with three children. His seventy year old maiden "aunt" Eleanor Watts was visiting.^[4]
