Biography

John was born in 1848 in Mudford, Somerset.^[1] He is the son of John Higgins and Sarah Applebe.

He was recorded in his parent's household in Mudford in the 1851 Census^[2] and the 1861 Census.^[3]

By 1871 John had moved to Birkenhead, Cheshire where he was working as a coach wheeler.^[4]

He married Margaret Thompson 10 December 1872 at St Mary's, Birkenhead.^[5]

In 1881 he was living on Exmouth Street in Birkenhead with his wife Margaret, son John and two boarders. John was working as a coach maker.^[6]

John died in Birkenhead in 1887.^[7]
