Martha Highlands married Richard Realf and had several children, one of whom was Richard Realf, poet and abolitionist. The attached photo ("the poet's mother, Mrs. Martha Realf") is taken from page 46 of “Poems By Richard Realf: Poet, Soldier, Workman. With a Memoir by Richard Josiah Hinton.”
