Biography

Rebecca Hilbert was born in 1822 in Virginia. She is the daughter of Conrad Hilbert, (1780–1830) and Mary Feller, (1790–1855).

She married George Willis Maupin about 1839, based on the birth year of their first child.
The 1900 Census^[1] states that she has born 11 children with 8 still living.

The 1870 Census^[4] shows her at age 48 with her husband and seven children in District 11, Grainger County, Tennessee.

The 1880 Census^[5] shows her at age 58 with her husband and two children in District 11, Washington County, Tennessee.

The 1900 Census^[1] shows her at age 78, widowed, and living in the household of her son Jacob and his family.
