Isabel was the daughter of Peter Hildyard of Winestead, Yorkshire[1] and Joan de la See. Her birth year is unknown and has been estimated as about 1500 on the basis of her parents being recorded as a married couple in 1497 and the marriage settlement for her daughter Joan being dated February 1550/1.[2][3]
Isabel married Ralph Legard[1] of Anlaby, Yorkshire,[2][3] probably in Yorkshire where both families lived. Their oldest son Christopher was born in May 1527, so they will have married before then, and a 1994 article by James Hansen on the ancestry of their daughter Joan estimates it as about 1520.[4] They had the following children:
Isabel was left 20 shillings in her mother's will, dated 20 July 1527, which refers to her as "doughtour Legerde".[6]
Isabel's husband died on 29[5] or 30[2][3][4] June 1540. She was granted letters of administration for her husband's estate on 10 July 1540,[4] so she died after that.[2][3]
Research Notes
Burial
Isabel's father-in-law Robert Legard was buried at Kirk Ella, Yorkshire in 1533.[7] It is possible she was buried there too.

Hillyard-16 and Hildyard-1 appear to represent the same person because: daughter Isabel married Ralph ... Richardson (who spells her name Hildyard) does not give a birth year or location, although either date in the duplicate profiles would work (c1492 or c1500). Please merge. Thanks!
