Cecil was born in 1911. Cecil & Eva owned the Hile family dairy farm at Johnsons Creek. He bought the shares of the other family. After selling the farm he moved to the Maitland area, & bought a house at Lochinvar. He worked in the timber industry. He & his son Vincent had a band. Cecil played the drums. Ealier when he was at Johnsons Creek the Hile boys had a band, & played for dances around the Gloucester district, especially in the barn at Johnsons Creek also at Stroud Road, Wards River. The barn dances were fantastic, ladies bought a plate of cakes or sandwiches etc for supper. He passed away in 1973.
