He married Hettie Ann Shahan on 21 October 1859, in Villanow, Walker, Georgia, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 daughters. He lived in Whitfield, Georgia, United States in 1870 and Justice Precinct 6, Wise, Texas, United States in 1880. He died on 16 March 1904, in Greenwood, Wise, Texas, United States, at the age of 62.
