Biography

Margaret was born in October 1793 in Kentucky and a daughter of Isaac HIll and Mildred Hines. Margaret married James Birdsong on March 12, 1812 in Kentucky. She is mentioned in in father's estate papers.As of 1850, she and her husband were living in Moniteau, Missouri, next to her brother Roland, with children Nancy, Jenna, Tenssa, Henry, William, Green, and Preston. Margaret passed away on March 5, 1856 and buried in the Allee Family Cemetery.[1]

The following is a brief of a long legal agreement recorded in the deed records of Barren County Court House, Kentucky: Hill heirs to William Allee. We, Jesse HIll, Sandy Hill of Monroe County, Fredrick Ackerson, wife Rebecca and Green Hill of Barren County are bound to James Birdsong, wife Peggy, Nicholas Allee, wife Ann (should be Tempy), James Hill and John Hill, all of Cole and Cooper Counties, Missouri. In the sum of $10,000 to be paid at the close of Mildred Hill's life or widowhood, who is heir of Isaac Hill, deceased, by his last will and testament. If the Missouri people return to Kentucky to live, the first named agree to pay the $10.000 at Mildred's death, agree to divide Issac Hill's estate with the Missouri people or to pay the $10,000.
