David HIll was born about 1760 in Connecticut, Massachusetts Bay Colony, or Nova Scotia. Possibly he was the son of Ahira Hill of Litchfield Connecticut.[1][2]
Military Service
David Hill fought in Ebenezer Allen's Regiment, Captain Samuel Williams' Company, in the Vermont militia, during the American Revolution.[3]
David Hill and wife Betsey are named in the DAR Patriot Index regarding her father's service.[4]

David Hill married Betsey Brownell, daughter of Ichabod Brownell and Elizabeth Stanley.[5]

Death
David Hill died sometime after the 1830 Colchester Chittenden County census. He is identified in the inscription on his wife's tombstone in Chicago as "David Hill of Colchester VT." [6] He probably died in the Colchester area prior to the family move west in 1837.
