Federal Hill served in the United States Civil War.

Federal died in the Civil War, he was in the confederate army along with his brother Eli and father, Eli and Federal never returned home, he was born about 1826. he was the son of Aquilla Speed Hill and Elizabeth Allison Tillotson.

Bured were he fell on the battle field , Perryville, Kentucky.
