Biography

Annie Merritt Hill was born in 1887 in Whitianga, NZ to Roger Hill and Wharehere Anaru Mataki. ^{[1] [2]}

She married Rapata Biddle about 1905 in New Zealand according to customary Maori norms and they set up house together at Ruatoki, NZ. ^[1]

Annie passed away from heart failure on 8 Aug 1943 at the Whakatane Hospital in Whakatane, NZ. ^{[1] [2]} She was buried at Poutahi Te Wainui in Opotiki, NZ.
