Biography

Ebenezer was born in Québec between 1703 and 1706 when his parents were captives of the French. After their return Ebenezer Jr. was known as "the Frenchman".

Ebenezer received an allotment of town lands in 1728. Each lot was 30 acres, cost £4 and the recipient must live in the town for five years.

Joseph Hill of Wells… Esqr… in Consideration of the Sum of One Hundred & Ten Pounds… paid by my Kinsman Ebenr Hill Junr of Biddiford… Do… sell… One Hundred Acres of Upland fronting on Saco River bounded… a small Creek that was a Bounds Between Richd Selly & William Dieser both of Saco… Also Together with Ten Acres of fresh Meadow backward in the Woods near the Head Bounds of sd Lot… the 11th of January 1728…
