Ebenezer was born in Québec between 1703 and 1706 when his parents were captives of the French. After their return Ebenezer Jr. was known as "the Frenchman".
Ebenezer received an allotment of town lands in 1728. Each lot was 30 acres, cost £4 and the recipient must live in the town for five years.
