John was born abt 1867 birth is guesswork
He was not married to Phoebe Armstrong - it was a partnership. Four children born to this union.
This man must be the same one who lived with Miss Phoebe Armstrong - clearly they could not marry because he was still married to Lilian COE.
It also explains why two of his children - born with mother Phoebe Armstrong - have their mother called Lilian.
His occupation is always similar Picture Framer/and a furniture merchant,
