Samuel Hill, born in Cornwall, England in about 1738, was the son of Thomas and Rachel Hill.
He was baptised on the 25th of July 1738 in the Parish of Wendron in Cornwall, England. [1][2]

On the 13th of January 1765, Samuel Hill, about age 27, and Ann Treloar, about age 22, were married in the Parish of Wendron in Cornwall, England. [4][5][6]

This marriage was solemnized between us Samuel Hill, Ann Treloar.

By 1782, Samuel, about age 44, and Ann about age 39, had completed their family with their ninth child.
Sadly none of Samuel and Ann's children survived them, all of their sons dying early in life. Thomas born 1775, did however have one child. Samuel and Ann's two daughters both married and had families, but Dorthy died in her mid 30's and Mary in her 40's.

Samuel's name was inscribed at the top of the HILL family headstone in St Wendrona Churchyard in Wendron, which also names his wife and seven of their children.
