John Henry Hill was born June 8, 1871 in Clinton County, PA to John H. Hill and Marie Strong. His death certificate and mother's obituary listed him as John Henry, but cemetery record and some census he's John F.

John was married to Minnie Ann Shoemaker on April 24, 1895 at Lock Haven, PA by Alderman John W. Harris.

John died July 27, 1934.

The Express, Lock Haven, PA, Sat. July 28, 1934. Deaths. John Hill. John Hill, 63, Lock Haven, R.D., a lifelong resident of this section, died last night at 9:55 o’clock at the Lock Haven Hospital where he was admitted Wednesday suffering with a complication of an intestinal and gall bladder condition and gastric ulcer. He was born near Woolrich and in his early days worked in the woods but of later years had engaged in farming. He attended the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, two sons and a daughters, James, at home, and Jack and Mrs. Albert Kreucher, Detroit; also five brothers and two sisters: George Hill, Flemington; Michael Hill and Wesley Hill, Jersey Shore; Lyman Hill, Avis; Mrs. William Hoover, Renovo, and Charles Hill and Mrs. Lillian Sees, addresses unknown.

The Express, Lock Haven, PA, Mon., July 30, 1934. Hill Funeral Tomorrow. Funeral services for the late John H. Hill will be conducted at the Hill home in Croak Hollow, northeast of Queens Run, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock by Rev. Mark A. Herman. Burial will be made in Dunnstown Cemetery.
