Biography
Abraham was born about 1703. He died in 1778.
Abraham Yarner Hill, of Bray, co. Wicklow; occurs as gent., attorney of Bray, co. Wicklow, in 1742; as Abraham Hill of Bray in 1773; ‘his relations had thought of sending him to sea… A remote kinsman [of Henry Temple, 1st Visct Palmerston], he ‘was given a junior clerkship from kindness; recommended by his poor mother and aunts… Thirty years after entering the office, he was still there, promoted within it’; he d. 27 Jun 1778, will pr. Dublin, 1 Dec 1778, naming his wife Elizabeth as sole executrix and leaving his ‘reputed son William Hill [one shilling] to show him that he had remembrance that there was such a person'.
