Biography

John Hill was born on 3 February 1726 in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut to parents John Henry Hill and Jane (Jeanne) Ladou. John married firstly, Isabel Alford, daughter of Rev. Nathaniel Alford, Sr. and Experience Holcomb about 1750 in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut. Children: John who married Mary Case, Mary who married Mr. Covey, ___ who married Mr. Covey.

John Hill married secondly, Isabel Eggleston, daughter of Jedediah Eggleston and Sarah Moore. Children: Jedadiah, who married Miss Kilby; Elijah, who married Esther Tuller; Chloe, who married Rufus Garrett and died in 1794; Welthy, who married Jabez O. Gleason; Keziah, who married Thaddeus Tuller; Ann, who married Nahum Barber.

John Hill died on 9 October 1795 in Canton, Hartford, Connecticut.
