Caroline was born in about 1809, the daughter of Joseph and Hannah (Pearl) Hill, in New York City. Both of Caroline's parents died in around 1816 when she was just a child. She was most likely raised by relatives.
At some point prior to 1828 Caroline would relocate to Hancock, Mississippi where her mother's sister Isabella was living with her husband George Sheriff. This is where Caroline met and married John Parker in January of 1828. John had moved to Mississippi from Connecticut. They would have the following children:
Caroline Parker (1828–1850)
Isabella M. (Parker) Athens (1829–1888)
John Parker (1830–1856)
George Washington Parker (1833–1888)
James Bush Parker (1834–1910)
Lafayette Parker (1843–1916)
John passed away in around 1845 based upon tax records which refer to the John Parker estate in 1846. This is the same time that Caroline passed away as well. History tells us there was a Cholera outbreak during this time in the Mississippi Valley and this could have been the cause of both Caroline's and John's death. It is thought that both Caroline's and John's bodies are probably buried in unmarked graves in the Pearlington Cemetery in Hancock County, Mississippi.
