Sydney William Hill was born in 1894 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England to William John Frederick Hill and Sarah (Lamb) Hill. His birth was registered in Alderbury, Wiltshire in the second quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Lamb.^[1]

Sydney William Hill, son of William John Frederick Hill & Sarah, was christened on 10 Jun 1894 at St Martin, Salisbury.^[2]
