William was born in 1833 in Kilcoan, Islandmagee, County Antrim, Ireland, the son of Arthur Hill and Ann Stewart. He was baptised on 07-Oct-1833 in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church.[1]
In 1864 he married Mary McKeen in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church. He was a farmer from Kilcoan, Islandmagee and she was living in Temple-effin, Islandmagee. The witnesses were William Hill and Henrietta Holmes.[2]
He passed away in 1907 in Kilcoan, Islandmagee, aged 73 years, from cardiac failure. His death was registered by his sister Mary Forbes of Kilcoan who was present at his death.[3] He was interred in Ballypriormore Graveyard, Islandmagee. [4]

Erected by William B. Hill to the memory of his wife Mary Hill who died 13th October 1871 aged 30 years. The above-named William B. Hill died 18th August 1907 aged 73 years. His daughter-in-law Margaret M. Hill who died 14th March 1946 aged 74 years. And his son Arthur who died 10th May 1958 aged 89 years. His grandson William B. Hill, son of above Arthur and Margaret M. Hill, died 14th April 1966 aged 67 years.
