Biography

Johan Jacob Hill Jr. was born January 17, 1716 in Germany[1]. Birth record is reported to be at Heuchelheim bei Frankenthal Lutheran Church, Pfalz.

He married Maria Appolonia Merkel[1].

He died December 20, 1775 [?] in Berks County, Pennsylvania and was buried in Zion Moselem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Moselem, Berks County, Pennsylvania[1].

Taxes 1767 in Windsor Tp paid by a man of this name. Or was that the Jacob HILL b. 1687 often thought to be his father?
Homestead of 1767 - references on-line to the homestead as "a large mansion, near Moselem Creek, which may still be standing."
Land holdings:

: A reference that the land was "about 1 1/2 miles west  of Virginville, partially in present day Windsor and partially in present day Perry, situated on a creek that empties into the Maiden Creek about 1/4 mile below Virginville." Jacob's neighbors were: George Hardman (C-86-88); Christian Housknecht (A-49-136 & A-49-137); Jacob Stinger (C-204-207); Michael Howard (C-78-267).

Are these the same house? Would seem to be about 4 miles apart.
You can see (and save) a copy of the survey for Jacob HILL here [2008]: < http://tinyurl.com/5shbe6 >
A Berks County street map that includes streams: From the description given, it appears that the Jacob HILL property would be along Virginville Road,  about halfway between Windsor Castle Rd and and Rt. 143.
You can search the current property tax map for Berks Co, which is searchable online  at: < http://tinyurl.com/625ux6 >
Click on Perry Twp on the County map to zoom into the area in question. Streams are shown on this tax map, which is more accurate than the original survey in that respect.
If you look for property lines that run the same directions as the original survey, which all run exactly NE, NW, SW, SE, according to the survey, you can actually see where the original property lies. The original lines remain pretty much intact, but the 200 acres has been divided up into smaller parcels. Most of the property is in Perry Twp. Streets map shows Witchcraft Rd running along the northern boundary line but the same road is also marked as "Hill Crest Rd" on the map.
The 1860 Berks County Atlas map of Perry Twp. shows several HILLs living right in this area.  Jb. Hill Sr, Jb. Hill Jr, and H. Hill.
Alt. deaths 20 Dec 1775 per Diana Quinones (reliable researcher) vs. 20 Mar 1776 date from tombstone records at Zion Moselem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richmond Twp, Berks Co, PA transcribed by Bernice Sells.
Last Will and Testament of John Jacob Hill - written 1775: Windsor Township, Berks County, PA, English version online at http://www.rootsweb.com/~paberks/ [2007]
His estate was handled in 1777; the online index to Berks Co wills also shows 1797, Windsor Township, 16 pp. of papers.
Here is the full will: posted by Tim Conrad on the ~paBerks board:

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jacob by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jacob:

Hill-7122 and Hill-790 appear to represent the same person because: Now that these men both are shown with the same wife, and the same parents, the men should be merged.

Hill-16159 and Hill-790 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse, same locations, same approx dates (need to confirm which set is more right).
