1900 - George (age 10) was enumerated in his father's household on Gen. Taylor, New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana.[1]
1910 - George (age 19) was enumerated in his step-father's household on 16 Davitt St., Mobile, Mobile, Alabama. [2]
1920 - George (age 29) was enumerated as head of household at 504 Boyd Heights, Pinal, Ray, Arizona. [3]
Marriage
On 18 March 1911, G H Hilliard and Jessie A Dumas were granted license to marry in Mobile, Alabama. They were married the next day in St. Joseph's Church, in Mobile, by Pastor Daniel J Murphy.[4] George M Poe co-signed the marriage bond. G H was described as age 21, 5' 9", 137 1/2 lbs, born in Florida, clerical occupation, Catholic, living in Mobile.
On 22 August 1917, George (age 26) applied for license to marry Genevieve Graham Russell (age 27) in Mobile County, Alabama.[5] He and Henry M Conrad pledged the $200 bond to guarantee there were no impediments to the marriage. Then, on that same day George and Genevieve were married by W Salentin, the pastor of St. Joseph's Church. On the application, they both declared that they were Catholic and that they resided in Mobile, Alabama. This was George's 2d marriage, Genevieve's 1st.
Military Service
On 5 June 1917, George registered for the draft. On his registration card, he said that he had 3 years experience in the Alabama National Guard (Infantry). His rank was 1st Sargent. A the time of his registration, he was living at 52 Old Shell Road, Mobile, Alabama.[6]
Death and Burial
On 19 March 1957, George died in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama.[7]
