Biography
Sarah was born about 1817 and baptised on 28 September 1823, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Hills. Her brothers Thomas and William were baptised at the same time.[1]
Aged 21, father Thomas Hills, she married James Searle age 19, at Yelling on 1 Oct 1838.[2]
In 1841 they were living in Yelling-
- James Searle 20 b Huntingdonshire
- Sarah Searle 20 b Huntingdonshire
- William Searle 2 b Huntingdonshire[3]
They baptised two children in Yelling , but there are no more Searle entries in Yelling after 1842, so they may have emigrated to Australia at some time soon after 1842.
