Alf Hills has Jewish Roots.
Alf Hills is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.
Alfred Walter Hills was born in Upney Hospital Barking, Greater London on August 5 1919. He was the son of Harry Hills and Sue Reeves. and the twin of Victor Samuel Hills. The twins were born very prematurely and were not expected to live, they weighed less than 2lbs, they both received emergency baptism in the hospital. They were fraternal twins, Victor had very dark hair and Alfred was very fair. They were known in the family as Vic and Alf.
Alf died when he was 6 days old on August 11 1919. His father brought him home in a tiny coffin and told the other children that he was their little brother. He was buried in Barking cemetery.

Alf's twin lived to be 84 but often said that he wished Alf hadn't died.
Alf Hills is one of twins.
Alf Hills died young.
