Gerald Allan Hillyard was born about the 24th of April, 1917 in Brunel Township, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of William Albert Hillyard (1891-) and Ledith (Wells) Hillyard (abt.1894-).^[1]

Gerald died on the 25th of May, 1924 in Bethune, Parry Sound, Ontario. He was buried on the 25th of May, 1924 in Dwight, Franklin Township, Muskoka District, Ontario, Canada.^[2]
