Albert "Ab" A Hillyer was born on 16 May (or November) 1857[1][2][3][4][5] in Harrison County, Ohio, United States[1][2][3][4]. He is the son of George Hillyer[1][5] and Amelia Edney[1][5].

Albert married Maryetta "Marietta/Etta" Johnson[6][7][8][2][3][4][9][10][5]on 22 May 1877[6][7][8] in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States[6][7][8].

Albert and Etta had two daughters: Jessie Ethna (Hillyer) Donaldson[2][3][11][12][5], and Olive Fenton (Hillyer) Richey[13][14][15][16][3][17][18][5].

Albert was a R.R. station and ticket agent at Bridgeport, Ohio[5].

Albert was a resident of Chippewa Lake, Ohio[5].
