Floyd Melvin Hilton was born on 29 Aug 1907 in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas, United States. His parents were Samuel Watson Hilton (1884 - 1962) and Edna Marion (Blakeman) Hilton (1890 - 1974).
His siblings were as listed below.

Floyd was in the 1915 Kansas State Census.[2]
In the 1920 census Floyd (age 12) was the single son of S W Hilton in Wichita Ward 6, Sedgwick, Kansas.[3]
Floyd married Louise Lois LaFever (1910 - 1975) on 22 Apr 1928 in Burbank, Los Angeles, California. [4]
