• There are some issues with the birth dates of his children -- the first three are too close together.

• He appears to be living in San Lorenzo Township, Santa Cruz County, California at the time of the 1900 Census. His birth year is given as 1859 rather than 1854, which was on his marriage record and the 1880 census listing. He gives his marital status as Divorced.^[1]
