He is the son of Johann-Philip Himmelman and Maria-Barbara Unknown & arrived at Halifax with them aboard the Gale in 1752.
He probably never married. He died as a young adult. He was with his parents on June 1755 victualling list at Lunenburg (emergency food supplies), & was listed separately from them in 1756 & '57, indicating that he was old enough to be living on his own. Bell shows no other record of him till the 3 Dec 1764 registration of woodlot assignments to the settlers, by which time he had paid any debts to the colonial government & been old enough for a "grant". But that same document (quoted by Bell) states: "Michel Himelman Dead. Heirs: Geo. Himelman & Peter Bubickhoffer - Second Division, D-8 [all sic]." (Those heirs were his older brother, George, and the husband of his older sister.)[1]
