Richard is the son of James Hindman and Jane Johnston.
Richard born 1782; married Anna Mahan; removed from Washington County, Pa., in 1812...
Richard served in Hill's Regiment Pennsylvania Militia during the War of 1812.[1]
After the war, he lived near Centre Church, Jefferson County, Ohio[2]; removed to Morgan County, Ohio in 1831, and his wife died in 1838.
