Attended Walnut Hill Presbyterian Church near Nicholasville, Fayette ., Kentucky in 1803. Kids were baptized in Old Blue River Church of Christ in Indiana. _____________________________________ Israel Hind, Sr. die intestate. Soon after his death Benoni Armstrong and Peter Gilstrap appraised his estate. Here is a partial inventory of the property of Israel Hind, Sr, deceased:

At the meeting called to divide the real estate Israel, Jr.and his wife Polly bought three several quarter sections of land for eighty five dollars. The remaining heirs, William,James, Samuel, Polly, Nancy, and Catharine Ann, wife of Rueben Denny severaly and mutually agreed that a certain partition of three quarters of land was an equable and just division and partition among them. James Hind, Rueben R. Denny and wife Catharine Ann inherited jointly the SW quarter of section 5, township 1 N, range 4 E,subject to the widow's dower therein

Burial: Old Old Blue River Cemetery [Cemetery notes and/or description: Directions: From the Courthouse, go south on South Main St. (SR 135), go 2.7 miles to the intersection of Rudder Road, Turn left, go 0.8 miles to the intersection of Blue River Church Road, turn right, go 1.2 miles to Blue River Christian Church. Once you get to the church there is a private drive on the WEST and you must contact the caretaker via the telephone posted on the sign who will unlock the gate and escort you to cemetery.] Blue River Washington County Indiana, USA ____________________ Israel Hind was born about 1770 in Augusta Co., Virginia. He married Catharine Brown who was born in Augusta County in 1762. The Brown family, William, Mary, Robert, Hugh and Margaret, had come to Augusta County proving their importation 22 May 1740, and purchased land in the Borden Tract. There were other Browns in Augusta County during the decades that followed their arrival, but William or one of his sons was probably the father of Catharine.

Soon after their marriage, Israel and Catherine Hind followed William and Ann Hind to Jessamine County, Kentucky, where the names Israel Hind and William Hind appear on the 1790 tax roll. They settled near the town of Nicholasville, and their seven children, William Hind, Polly Hind, James Hind, Samuel Preston Hind, Nancy Hind, Israel Hind, Jr and Catherine Ann Hind were born there.
