Joseph Hinds served in the military during the Civil War. He enlisted as a private in Company E of the 38th Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment on 01 May 1861.[1] He mustered out with his company 0n 13 May 1864. [2] Military records also list his last name as Hindes.[3]
Joseph Hinds died on 14 November 1912.[4] He is interred in the Civil War Veterans section in Division 3 of Union Dale Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. [5]
