Biography

Deborah is mentioned in the 1731 will of her father. Deborah and her sister Mary are to receive a "large silver tankard, marked I. D. H. upon lid".

The 5 daughters mentioned in the will are in the order Mary, Deborah, Elizabeth, Patience, and Sarah. The latter two are not yet 18. Nothing is said about the age of the other three. We can conjecture that the daughters are in chronological order and that Patience is slightly younger than 18 and that Elizabeth is slightly older.

This profile for Deborah Hinds and those of her sisters Mary, Elizabeth, and Patience have been detached from James Hinds III, who died in 1719, and attached to James Hinds IV, who died in 1731 and left a will. The 1731 will names these daughters and Sarah. The 1719 probate of James Hinds II names only his son James.
