George is the son of George Henry and Anna Maria (Plummer) Hinkle. He married Harriet Beall. On 14 Mar 1797, George bought the tract called Hard Scuffle from Joseph Lazear and his wife Elizabeth (Plummer) Lazear.[1]

In his will[2], George names his wife Harriet and these children:
