Biography
Matilda Jane Hinkle was born on May 21, 1859, in Cutler, Indiana. She was the daughter of Joseph Hinkle and Nancy Cook. She married John J. Draper on April 16, 1885, in her hometown. They had one son during their marriage. She died on June 1, 1944, in East Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 85, and was buried in Cutler, Indiana.

Flora, June 1. - Mrs. Matilda Jane Draper, 85, a resident of this vicinity, until she moved to East Lansing, Mich. ten years ago, died at her home there this morning. She was the widow of John J. Draper.
Surviving are a son Cecil of East Lansing; three sisters, Mrs. ida May Trobaugh of Cutler, Mrs. Elizabeth McCarty of Ft. Wayne and Mrs. Sarah McDaniels of Indianapolis.
The body will arrive here Friday afternoon and be taken to the Leiter funeral home for services here at 2 p.m. Saturday

Former Flora Woman Dies in Michigan
Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Matilda J. Draper, 85 of East Lansing, Michigan at the Leiter Funeral Home. A resident of Flora, Indiana until ten years ago when she moved to Michigan, Mrs. Draper died Thursday. She was the widow of John J. Draper.
Survivors are a son, Cecil of East Lansing; three sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth McCarty of Fort Wayne; Mrs. Sarah McDaniels of Indianapolis and Mrs. Ida May Trobaugh of Cutler, Indiana.
