Florence Amelia (Hinkle) Lewis was born on Jly 14, 1850 in Harrison County, Virginia, (now West Virginia). She is the daughter of George Hinkle and Rebecca Barrett.

Jacob Lewis and Florence Amelia (Hinkle) Lewis were married on September 16, 1865 in Upshur County, Virginia, (now West Virginia) by E. Bennett. He was 21 and single. She was 16 and single.[2]
