Biography
Alexander was born in about 1824. He is the son of Baltis Hinkle and Ann Downing.
In the 1830 census he is 5-10 in the household of his maternal grandfather Andrew Downing in Wayne Co., Tennessee. In 1840 he is 10-15 in the household of his mother's second husband Turine Emerson in Wayne Co., Tennessee. After that he is not present in public records. He was born in about 1824.
