Biography

Mary Barbara was born in 1736, the daughter of Jacob Antonius Henkel and Anna Margaret Witthaus. She married Joh Conrad about 1754. Mary passed away in 1817.

Mary Barbara is mentioned in her father's will as follows:

"My only daughter, Mary Barbara shall, when she should marry, besideher usual portion, have good bed according to her station of about six or seven pounds, a creditiable wedding suit according to her condition but if she should marry without the consent of her mother and there hereafter mentioned counsellors then shall this be nulland void."[1]
