Probated will (1848) mentions sons John and Thomas William Willet Hinkley, along with daughters Amelia and "Harriott" Cooper; to Harriet is bequeathed premises 10 and 11 in The Brook, Chatham.
Note 1. A second birth record for Gilbert has same baptism date and parents but different place: Cranbrook, Kent. Last name is spelled "Hinckley."
