In 1841 Census is living in Chatham, Kent with Jane Hinkley (Jane Hanna 2nd wife, m. 11 July 1836). Profession given is carpenter.
Probated will (1848) mentions sons John and Thomas William Willet Hinkley, along with daughters Amelia and "Harriott" Cooper; to Harriet is bequeathed premises 10 and 11 in The Brook, Chatham.
Note 1. A second birth record for Gilbert has same baptism date and parents but different place: Cranbrook, Kent. Last name is spelled "Hinckley."
