Ellen Wilson McAdoo de Onate, 22 (who last April was divorced from Spanish Cinemactor Rafael Lopez de Onate), fourth of the five daughters of California's Senator William Gibbs McAdoo (see p. 25) by the first two of his three wives; to William A. Hinshaw, 22, French horn player for the Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra; in Los Angeles.

Saint Petersburg Times, Saint Petersburg, Florida, Wednesday, September 8, 1943: McAdoo's Daughter Sues for Divorce LOS ANGELES - AP - Ellen McAdoo Hinshaw, 28, daughter of the late Sentor William GIbbs McAdoo and a granddaughter of former President Woodrow Wilson, filed suit for divorced yesterday against Alfred Hinshaw, musician, charging cruelty. She married Hinshaw here Sept. 12, 1938, a year after she and her first husband, Rafael Lopez de Onate, Latin actor, had been divorced. Mrs. Hinshaw's conplaint asked that she be given custody of their child, William Gibbs Hinshaw, two. Mrs. Hinshaw, whose mother, Eleanor Wilson McAdoo, was the daughter of President Wilson, also has a child by her first marriage, Richard de Onate, eight.
