Thomas Hinshaw Jr. was born July 1775 in Randolph County North Carolina. His marriage bond was dated Feb. 11, 1794 to Lucy Clanton in Surry County, North Carolina. Thomas is listed in the 1820 census in the district of Captain Williams in Surry County, N.C . His death was on Dec. 5, 1824. Burial is at Mount Pleasant UMC. in Boonville, Yadkin County, N.C.
