Obit: HOT SPRINGS -- L.M. Hinshaw, 81, of Hot Springs, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Thursday at Hot Springs. He was born March 30, 1923, at Malden, Missouri, a son of the late L.M. Hinshaw and Ruby Hinshaw. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1936 and graduated from Pine Bluff High School. He worked in various jobs for the Cotton Belt Railroad, retiring as terminal trainmaster in 1983. He was a member of the Carr Memorial Methodist Church at Pine Bluff. He served on the Board of the American Little League, managed the National Bank of Commerce Little League Team and was district administrator for Little League Baseball for the state of Arkansas for many years. He was a member of the Pine Bluff Lodge #69 of the Free and Accepted Masons, a member of the Scottish Rite in Little Rock, and a member of the Sahara Shrine Temple at Pine Bluff. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sammie Hinshaw; and one son, Michael Todd "Mickey" Hinshaw. Survivors include his wife, Dee Dee Hinshaw, whom he married on May 5, 1989; one daughter, Phyllis Davis of Star City; one son, Gary Alan Hinshaw of Ratcliff; one sister, Marcie Sharrow of Orlando, Fla.; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors at Pine Bluff with the Rev. James Watson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
