Biography

Stephen was born 03 July 1803, son of Thomas Hinshaw and Rebecca Holliday.

Stephen married Gulia Elma Maria Hoover, Nov 22 1826, Randolph County, North Carolina. Gulia, daughter of John Hoover and Millicent Winslow was born 23 Nov 1806, Randolph County, North Carolina. To this union were born:

Elizabeth Wall (b. 1804) was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Wall, who lived next door to Stephen's parents. The dates seem to indicate that this child was conceived just prior to Stephen's marriage to Gulielma.
