Fourth child of Daisy & Shelton Hinson, James was killed on Christmas Day.
He and his big brother Henry were walking on Christmas Day down the street, holding hands. One of them touched a "downed" electrical wire. James was killed but Henry was not hurt. Christmas became a sad day for the family since that time.
Family Bible of Mary Elisabeth Fletcher (his grandmother) states that "Shelton" was "James" middle name. This is corroborated by written account of Arlene Hinson. The gravestone has "Fletcher" in error! This lends credence to the probability of his grandfather's name being "James Shelton Hinson."
(No info can be found on Shelton Hinson from VA. But the genealogist found 2 James Hinsons from same area in VA with same year of birth.)
