Research Notes

Biography on findagrave.com has the following statement:

“Everyone has always shown a Persis Boone as his mother, though no official document could be found that a Persis Boone ever existed in the Boone line.
After a new search for records was conducted by his descendants and members of the Boone Family she was found instead to be Persis Haddar.
If you search records you will find there is only one line of Boone's that carry the Persis name in it. It is my 1st cousin line of Josiah Boone I. Josiah Noah Boone I is my double 6th great-grandfather. During that same search it was found that his daughter Persis was actually the 2nd wife of Josiah Boone II, my double 5th great-grandfather.
There were a lot of people upset over this new revelation, I lost 5 connections to Daniel Boone myself, so we asked those individuals to produce at least one official document confirming her existence and to date no one has come forward with one. Thomas does have connections to the Boone line, not only did his daughter Persis marry Josiah Boone II, his sister Hannah married Josiah Boone I and is my double 6th great-grandmother.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

Hinton-218 and Henton-101 appear to represent the same person because: same parents, alternate spelling of name
