MARIETTA.

Marietta, Aug. 14---Boyd Hipple met with a serious accident at his home on Chestnut street last Wednesday morning about 7 o'clock. He was sitting on a chair on the porch in a leaning position, when his chair tilted and he fell backward, striking his head heavily against a brick wall. A half hour later he was found by members of the family lying on the porch in an unconscious condition.

A physician was immediately sent for, who administered to the needs of the young man, who did not regain consciousness until about 10 o'clock, three hours after the accident. After he had fully resusciated he told the story how it all happened. He is again able to be about his work.
